Understanding Your Utility Bill
The Sheboygan Water Utility bills and collects for multiple services including water, sewer, garbage, and recycling. Sewer, garbage, and recycling charges are billed and collected by the Utility for the City of Sheboygan*.

The water utility is governed by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and the Board of Water Commissioners. The Water Utility receives no tax monies but operates entirely on its water revenues.
The rates and fees for sewer, garbage, and recycling are determined by the City of Sheboygan.
Understanding Water and Sewer Usage - Units of Billing
The Utility bills for water and sewer usage in hundred cubic feet (ccf) based on the amount of water that goes through your meter. Below is a sample portion of a Utility bill.
Conversion to Gallons
To understand how many gallons of water you used, simply multiply the billing units on your bill by 748. For the example above reflecting a usage of 15 ccf, you would multiply 15 ccf by 748 to get 11,220 gallons of water used.
Billing Cycles
Sheboygan Water Utility customers are billed quarterly. There are three different districts in the City of Sheboygan. See the document below for your billing cycle. The cycle is based on the first two digits of your account number.
